This Is How It Works

Your Personal Control Panel

After you sign up for an account and your membership is activated, you will be able to log into your personal control panel. This is where you will be able to make changes to your photographer listing, upload photos for sale to the public, and choose pricing for your photos. Premium members will also be able to add photos to an online portfolio, add service pricing, and download sample contracts and forms from the site. When Photo Purchases Are Made

Site visitors will be able to purchase your photos in a wide range of sizes or printed on a variety of merchandise including mugs, tshirts, bags, and more. As soon as one of your photos is purchased, you will be able to track the profit from the sale through your personal control panel. You will receive 70% of the profit from every photo sale you make. Profit is the sale price minus wholesale printing cost, and a minimal credit card transaction fee. If, for example, you sell a 4x6 photo for $5.00; the printing cost will be $.24, and the credit card transaction fee will be $.15 (3%). This leaves $4.61 in profit and your commission on the sale would be $3.23. Sounds a little complicated but we take care of all the caculations for you and Paypal you your commission.

All credit card processing, printing, shipping, and customer support is handled by us and our printing partner MyCapture.

Once a month, LTC will send you money for the photos you sell on the site. We use PayPal for all of our transactions. A valid PayPal account is required in order to sign up for an LTC account. For more detail, take a look at our photographer control panel tour.

Your Photographer Listing and Personal Space

Every LTC member is automatically listed in our directory where visitors can search by name or location. If you're a Basic Member your listing will appear as a text link below the premium listings. Your personal space will be one page with a bio and a link to your photos for sale. If you are a Premium Member, your listing will appear at the top of the photographer directory in a bordered box. Your name will be in large, bold text next to your logo or headshot. Your personal space will include an expanded bio page, a pricing page, and a photo portfolio page. Both basic and premium members will receive a personalized web address for their page (eg. leavethecamera.com/mypage).

Signing Up for an LTC Account Helps People Find You

All of our photographer's personal pages and our photographer directory are tagged and optimized for search engine indexing. This means that people searching for photographers in your local area will be more likely to find you and hire you.

LTC Promotional Resources

Once your are a member, you will be given access to all of our promotional materials. They are designed to assist you in driving visitors to your online photo store. This will be especially helpful if you are planning to do event photography. We have a variety of cards and other printed material to hand out to event attendees. We also have tshirts, bags, table skirts, polo shirts, and button-up shirts.
